Thanks so much for the reply, Mr. Rabkin. Yeah, I'm a pretty tame girl when it comes to what I read. So, I'll just continue to hope that you are asked to write more of your Psych novels, but thank you so much for the recommendations. I've been telling all my friends (whether they watch Psych or not) about your books, though, and what a great read they are. I've really enjoyed them.

Sincerely,

Thank you so much. I'm sorry to say that so far there is no sixth book in the works. If NAL and Universal ask for more, I'll certainly announce the news here.

Meanwhile I'm working on an exciting new ebook project with Lee Goldberg and a slew and insanely talented writers. It's called The Dead Man, and it's our attempt to bring back the old single character pulp magazines like the Shadow or Doc Savage -- or those men's action adventure novels from the '70s. Our first two books, The Dead Man: Face of Evil and The Dead Man: Ring of Knives are available on Amazon; the third book, The Dead Man: Hell in Heaven comes out in a week or so. We're publishing every month, so you won't run out soon.

One warning -- these books are a lot tougher than the Psych books. There's lots of violence and swearing and sex. So if Psych is as rough as you like to get, these probably aren't for you. But if Psych is just one flavor you enjoy, come check us out. Through the rest of the month, the first book is available for as a Kindle download for only 99 cents!

Mr. Rabkin,

I've read all five of your Psych books and loved them all. I'm getting ready to re-read them. Anyway, I know you just got the last one out in February, but any chance you're already working on a 6th one? If so, I can't wait! If not, why not? :) We really need something to keep us Psycho's satisfied since the show doesn't come back until the fall. Thanks.

Mr. Rabkin,

Thank you for the response. I really don't know what to say, but I will try giving a feedback to your publisher.

As far as ebooks go, they have the following advantages for me:

1. I can save on shipping costs.
2. Ebooks can be read anywhere, anytime and as many times as I want.
3. I won't have to wait for the shipments to arrive or fear that the customs might not get them across to me.
4. I wouldn't have to worry about the book(s) getting misplaced, stolen or lost on the way.

This was indeed some decision by your publisher. I anyways wish you the best in your future writing endeavors.

Regards,

Sharmila

Not to duck responsibility here, but I have nothing to do with the distribution of my books, either in electronic format or on paper. If they're blocked in India, that's something the publisher has done for reasons I can't even begin to imagine. I'd rather have everyone in the world read every word I write, especially if they're willing to pay me money for the privelege. . I wish I could tell you who to contact in the vast multi-national conglomerate that is Penguin Putnam to rectify this, but I don't have the slightest idea. I can only apologize for my publisher's baffling decision...
